Exactly my thoughts, im not going to be going much over 100 in it, im not gonna be blasting mountain roads with it and im probably gonna have to buy a new set in 2 weeks anyways so i just got some decent cheap tires, all i care about is how predictable breakaway is. I have some nice dunlop FM901's on the front that will probably last through 10 sets of rears.

how old is the paint job? I used it to remove gum off my subie with no paint removal.

possibly polish or wax? i can remember a time when i washed my car about a month after i polished it and the towels and sponges had black residue on them

1999 was when it was made. keep in mind this paint is on the inside of the trunk lid, and i dont beleive it has a clearcoat over it. or possibly clear coat mixed with the paint.

well, the rag turned red (there is a joke here) the same color of the car.
