Shockproof is great fluid if you are aggressive witht he car or you're running high horsepower levels. It isn't quite as slick as normal 75/90, so the ultimate life of the tranny over 200,000 miles may be lsightly compromised, but the benefits to shifting and gear protection in terms of impact mean it will help a stock tranny deal with abuse better. We've seen rally cars with holes in the tranny (big, gaping holes), no fluid in the pan, and you can see (through the hole, lol) that shockproof still adheres to every contact surface in the case. That alone sells it for me.
fo0! you know i ain't got no high HP subie...the lowly 144hp 2.2l is all that's kickin'.

so shockproof light blue for trans and diff?(non-LSD mind you...01 OBS has open diff right?)

Cool. I have some stuff to install (Camber plates and swaybars if they get here on time...) It seems like a good opportunity to meet some more people although I have already met some of you at Thunderhill.

I have a small hand held heat gun, and can also bring 3 sets of jack stands if needed.

I have a oil catch can to install.....but it's not important if it gets installed.

Egan, PM your house directions, if nothings happening on the 4th, I'll stop by and give a hand.

EddyL.

Let me know if y'all need the assistance of a semi-half-@ss professional wrench pilot. I'll even bring the SRIC Tow/Recovery Rig with tools.
The GBODs are actually quite easy if one uses the patented Sanso Extraction and Modification Methods.
However, being a masochist, I prefer to re-install the GBOD.
