Taking the cosine of the angle of your car relative to the cop car, you indicated speed will be higher as the angle increases.

Speaking of cops writting tickets. Roseville P.D. was in down right revenue mode. They set up a dude sitting in one of those fold out soccer chairs in a construction zone(25mph). They then had 6 cops sitting in the next side street. I saw 5 people get pulled over before I even made it to the freeway(maybe 2 blocks total from where the guy was and the freeway). Luckily I had a redlight so I was at like 4mph when I rolled passed dude.

He also had a clipboard and was writting **** down, not sure what

Maybe the cop knows something you don't about the road conditions?
Remember, the posted speed is the maximum speed allowed...assuming road conditions permit it.

so then at the right angle, when your directly in front of the cop (for Rybal think of a T the cop is at the bottom of the T and your car is placed where the two lines meet, in the middle of the top line) your speed on his radar would be zero right Paul?

Who gives a **** if it reads zero or not, short of a cop with your IQ level I doubt he's really going to believe you're going 0mph

I'm asking about the accuracy of radar, not whether he is gonna believe i'm going 0 or not

If that was the case, he should have had his lights on and been weaving back and forth across all lanes on the road to slow the traffic. Had he been doing this, I never would have passed him.
