better off with borla hush, unless you're simply going for looks or sti "conversion", sti cbe is really restrictive.

I'm looking for stealth. That's why I'll probably just do UP/DP first, but I was wondering if the STi CBE would help a bit performance-wise while still looking stock, but from this thread it doesn't sound like it helps with performance much, if at all.

a stock exhaust isn't going to be able to compete with aftermarket (except maybe flowmaster)

Borla Hush or Cobb FTW

Being cheap and getting crappy parts makes it seem like you're looking for fail.

No, paying $120 for a black painted exhaust can and an embossed STi logo is stupid. That's all. There's no performance gain.

Look. If you're going to put stuff on yourself, and deal with whatever issues, buy whatever crap you want: helix, etc.

But you're not, right? You're going to take a pile of used parts and ask Paul to put them on, and he's going to be pissed when there's issues, you're going to pay for him haivng to figure it out, and you're going to have a sub-optimal setup.

Cheap, fast, quality/reliability: pick two. Seriously, man. Would you trust a production network to a d-link router? Would you trust sensitive data to an old Emachine from the bargin bin?
