What's cool is that they can't get Yakima very easily in the UK so he ordered his racks from Rack N Road and his fairing from REI using the measurments from my stuff

There is this concept called "personal responsibility" that many people just dont seem to understand any more. Ever heard of it?

what REALLY sux is i honestly thought the road was a 45...

Actually 15+ is 2 points, and can be reckless driving at the court's discretion. If you're lucky, the cop will no-show and you are not guilty.

If you don't have time to go to court, try trial by written law. See www.ticketassassin.com for more info.

Technically your case is dismissed, not ruled as "not guilty" but if effectively has the same result on your insurance.

Written law works the same except that officers don't get paid to respond like they do to go to court.

i had a speeding ticket years ago that was the PD and he never showed.
the CHP get paid to show up so they go, (saw a few on that court date for other people) but NONE of the Police showed up for any of the cases. guess that's not the way they want to spend a vacation day.

so you think fighting a CHP ticket by "written" is better?

Yeah, Trial by Written Declaration is based. Slightly higher chance of winning, plus if you lose, you can get a do-over in court. Don't forget to ask for an extension before you file for TBWD...

yeah, i filed for an extention on the other one that got dismissed.
i'll have to wait until i get the info in the mail.
prolly in a couple weeks.

the officer was nice, and he dind't demand to see my ins, just asked who my carrier was (i didn't have an ins card with me) and he didn't even say a word about the crack across my windshield from one edge to the other. it almost touches both sides (shy by about 1") but he didn't say a word.
and i know i was going fast (was late to an appointment), but didn't think i was going that fast.
guess i'll wait and see.

where's our resident man of the law to comment?
i haven't seen him online in a while.

Personally it's better for me because I'm busy and I don't have time to go to court. I'm also afraid of physically confronting a judge. It's much easier to write a letter and submit it. I compare the philosophy to breaking up with someone VIA a note. I've fought one ticket and had it dismissed. It was a 20+ ticket nailed by the airplane.

Ugh. I'm tired.

I finally found my gas main and finished digging the trench to the new gas meter location.
