Hi...I'm back :-P
back from the perils of rigors of traing camp with the Army. lol.
It was actually pretty easy, and I am sad that some of the people passed that did. It makes me feel like my efforts of working hard to become an officer mean nothing. Kind of a let down. but meh, whatever....
Ok, so a little update on my subie. I sold it to some portly azn kid....lol. He seemed cool enough but he had 3k worth of mods planned for the first two weeks of owning it, parts on order before he even had the car, etc. Sounds like mommy and daddy give him a little too much. He was buying the car as a graduation gift. wow.
I am now rocking a 'yota:

I am planning on purchasing an STI once I graduate. yay for me.

congrats man! I know what you mean about wondering how some people complete their training. I remember showing up at the processing center and looking around thinking "these people are going to be soldiers? WTf M8?" :rotfl: So what are you looking to do when you get commissioned? Armor, Infantry, Medical, Comm?

I am actually going to be applying for various law enforcement jobs.

Rough dude, hopefully it feels like new when you get it back. What all was done?
I felt my subie was a big magnet for stuff like that....slashed tires, dents, etc...that played a role in me selling it....a truck, just doesn't care if its scratched.. :-P
I will get another subie when I don't live in crappy apartments, and I can buy an STI....next summer! yay for me. lol

Electronic. Everything from encrypted radios to satellite tracking and communications equipment. Just before I left, the offered me a 3 year enlistment if I'd go to the satellite equipment opreator/maintainer school. It's essentially a BSEE in 14 months, and when you leave the Army you can supposedly step into sweet jobs. Downside- I'd have had to spend another 10 months at my ****ty unit waiting for the next class to open up (only 2 per year), and my 3 years wouldn't start until I graduate, AND if I failed out of the school (50-60% of people in it do) I'd still have to finish the 3 years in my old job.
