Whoops, I was wrong... SM is in the SECOND run group, so Ill be running the morning, filming in the afternoon...

 

less than a day bump!

Well...my STi is still in Vermont waiting to be picked up by the shipping company. Aarrgg. So, I won't be able to make this event with my car. Oh well, i'll save some of my Hoosiers for later events I guess.

I might still come down and watch.

Did anyone see that they actually put this auto-x on the FRONT page of the Sac bee wheels section today? Aperently theres going to be a car show, among other things going on. That should be cool.

It looks like most of us will be running in the AM run groups.

 

I saw that ... and the Tribeca review

 

The Tribeca review was a rather positive review, I was surprised.

 

I got the new Motortrend yesterday, they had a pretty positive review of the Tribeca also.

 

So ya, interesting event... VERY poorly organized. The 2nd run group, the one 4 of us were in, took THREE HOURS to complete!!! Started before 11, ended about 2pm...

The course was very interesting to say the least. Alot of 90 degree turns, and 2nd gear straights. It was pretty fun, and was a 70 second course which is always nice.

 

The course had too many 90 degree turns and the surface was horrible. While walking the course I actually tripped over some broken asphalt.

 

When did you run? And which car were you? Nobody came out to talk to us while we were runing exept pbchief while we were leaving.

There was also an RX-7 with a Corvette motor, many Miatas and my good friend Clint in his Mustang...

 

Was it the RX-7, or the 60's camaro that had the Corvette motor? Cause the Camaro DID have a corvette motor, along with Z06 wheels and probably more... Cleanest car out there for sure, surprised he raced too!

We were working corner 3 during the first run group and saw that blue RX-7 run.

We saw your RS in the parking area too, but never saw anyone by it to find out who was driving it...

Anyway, what was your best time?

 

I heard people there talked about one of the RX7 having a V8, probably that one.
