Its funny, everyone says track drivers make bad autoxers, but autoxers make good track drivers

Its true though, I had the hang of track driving pretty quick...

With auto-x, my tip for you guys is to not worry about being SMOOTH, but worry more about accelerating HARD and braking HARD. Drive it like you stole it, not like you love it

I've recently had this urge to do a snow/ice autocross. I think I got the bug from the snow/ice tracks on GT4.

Nice low speed sideways super smooth action without all of the fuss of traffic or other fixed objects.

We've toyed with that idea...I think next year, I will try to make it happen, although on more of an "unofficial" basis.

Yes. no need for timing or anything. I just want to have fun with it.

I went out to the parking lot after the hail on Monday and had my own icy rally cross.

The last time I was at a Mather auto-x, there was a yellow viper out there with a n00b drive spinning out and DNFing every time... It was sad, but make for lots of neat smoke

the first event i went to a few months back there was a guy with an STi with the same problem.

same spots, same results every time.

his was the STi with the most stickers.

looked like the subaru WRC car.

i think the vinyl just added way too much whp and he wasn't used to it.

Maybe its another one of SCCA's pathetic 'drifting' days.

HAHAHA, i got a little greedy with the throttle on a sweeping hairpin, i took out pretty much the entire outside row of cones with the back right tire. my instructor just looked over and said "i think you took the wrong line back there." it made both of us laugh!

heres a pic:

im sure you can tell but this was at the skip barber racing school at leguna seca, it was my graduation present from my dad!
