It was a typo on our behalf. Sorry, mistakes happen and we're all human. Honestly, we can't sell at the price because that's below our cost.

it's called proper business ethics.
just MO...
but i've worked for a few large aftermarket companies over the years and weither or not we were in the wrong, we saved face and earned customer loyalty by honoring our word...
although employees sometimes received a sound lashing afterwords.

and in this case that would be a loss in profits
Hi guys,
First off, I would like to apologize for the current situation. Preston has been with us for 3 weeks, and is doing his best to absorb the tons of pricing information that a we have as well as many other day to day activities that we have.
That being said, he did make a mistake on the pricing, without realizing that our normal retail price is more than double the advertised price, $375 shipped.
As you know, many times mistakes can and will be made in any business. There have been several instances where I personally have copied and pasted pricing from other locations, only to have gauges be advertised at $2500 or full coilover setups at $150. Most of the time, I would get a reply and a wink, noting that our price was wrong.
I understand that you guys have called to confirm the price, but please try to remember, Preston was working off bad initial information, thus was not able to give you guys an accurate price.
That being said, I am willing to meet you guys half-way on the already at cost "I'm sorry" discounted price of $300 (versus $375). If you guys can accept $220 for the spoiler, we are willing to take an $80 loss on this item to make you guys happy. We unfortunately cannot take a $160 per wing loss on this item, and I'm sorry for this.
Guys, please try to keep in mind that we are not a company profiting millions of dollars, and cannot afford to take millions of dollars, or even thousands of dollars in losses. Like you guys, we are simply Subaru and Mitsubishi enthusiasts that started a business to support our interests. We started this company with the goal of providing our customers with the best possible products at the best possible prices, and we are trying our very best to meet this goal, but mistakes will invariably happen.
Again, I'm very sorry about this situation, and I will do everything within reason to try to make things right. If you guys are willing to take me up on my offer, please let me know.
Thank you and sorry.
Regards,
Gary

I just don't see why you won't endorse your initial price for the 3 of us. I know we are humans and make mistakes but sometimes you just have to bite the bullet to deliver excellent customer service. I'm not asking you to drop the price of all the wings, but just for us three. This is my second time dealing with Gruppe-s (first time, I bought my pinks stars). I want to keep in good standings with your company so that later down the line when I'm ready for a SPEC-C engine, I could stop by and pick it up. Like I said, I'll I'm asking is for you to honor your advertised price.
Thank You

Hi guys,
Just to clarify, the older thread for the wing is from a different manufacturer. That one is made in China, and has some cracking issues on the edges. If you guys want that one for $140, I'll do even better, I can do $125, but we don't carry them anymore due to warranty issues, so they'll be like a 3 month wait.
The ones we now get are from Taiwan, and we haven't had any problems with these.
If you guys are ready to order, please e-mail me personally, gary@gruppe-s.com, and I'll get things sorted out. Please include your phone number. Thanks,
Gary

Hehehe,
Seriously though, we wouldn't have raised the price to $375 if it was from the same manufacturer. I'm sure you guys know we operate on razor thin margins here. Basically the same deal if you're buying a Genuine Nismo kit for $800 or a replica one for $150 (or a real dry carbon STI wing for $1500 for that matter).
BTW please try to call me or e-mail me, I don't really check my VM's because there's like 100 messages in there.
Thanks,
Gary
