and liberals are just as whacked!
they preach "tolerance" across the board, but they, themselves are intolerent to anyone who opposes their views...

sorry kids, wide right is where i stand.
So true, I think moderates just end up confusing themselves.

I think you're wrong. A moderate doesn't necessarily have to hear both sides of an issue. They don't even always agree with the majority. I feel that a moderate is someone who just happens to have some political views from both sides on various issues (like my example from above).

Also, you guys make it seem like all Moderates have the same views. They don't. They can still **** people off and spark debate. And these people, I feel, are the people that can be referred to as either a "Conservative Moderate " or a "Liberal Moderate."

Although, I will agree that some Moderates don't know what they think on most issues. Or at least can't make up their mind.

The thing is though that that is the majority of people. Not every conservative agrees withe every conservative and vice versa. What you're definig as a moderate is every person in the world who is capable of rational thought and common sense.

Who said that, now you're trying to put words in peoples mouths like a whiny liberal.

I think the word you're looking for is "centerist" not moderate.

I understand that no one is going to agree 100% Left or right, hell even Al Franken and Rush Limbaugh don't. What I'm implying by saying moderate is that around 60/40 of their opinions are mixed. Where as a Conservative or Liberals' views would be 90/10 or so.

You're probably right. In my opinion, there are 5 "political standings" that you can have between Conservative and Liberal, aside from Libertarian, Green, Independant, etc. Anyway:

Liberal ----- Liberal Moderate ----- "Centrist" ----- Conservative Moderate ----- Conservative

I'm sure lots of people are more aligned with their views than they think.

Try this quiz. I'm sure it's totally biased though.

here's the key for all you moderates.
choose M all the way through.

quiz says i'm "CONSERVATIVE LIBERTARIAN"
i came in high on the line right between Libertarian and Conservative.
