Does anyone listen to Air America?
Okay, I know it is the much maligned foil to conservative radio, and I know that it's not very popular to show left leaning tendancies in the Sacramento area, but has anyone listened to any of the shows?
I am sure it is just over the top liberal drivel like it's over the top conservative counterpart, but...
A friend of mine sent me an email and told me that a friend of ours that we went to high school but lost contact with is one of their "faces". I was actually suprised to see that Air America was in the Sacramento area.

Yeah, so I've been listening to her for the past half hour and she is pretty much rediculously over the top liberal.
I say again, what happened to all the moderates?

sac actually has two left leaning stations now and both seem to be doing well ratings wise. 1240am and 1320am (air america). Check out ed schultz on 1240 from noon till 3. Although he's a lefty, he is definitely a "in the middle lefty".

KCTC (1320) is 17th in the sac market
KSAC ( 1240 ) is 30th

Liberal radio only works in San Francisco and LA
Ha! Yeah I guess the two left stations arent doing as well as the other established news-talk format stations are, but they are definitely growing. A few years ago lefty talk radio was non-existant and now we have two stations. 1320 just went on the air about 6 months ago (or aorund there) and is now already the 3rd most listened to in the news-talk radio format. I definitely think there's a market for liberal radio here.

I didn't realize Air America was still on either...it's been a while since I've listened to talk radio though (not Air America)...ignorance is bliss sometimes.
