Yes look at me in shock all you want, but when you have a baby and have to tote around everything that goes with one, you will want a min van too. Wait till the get so long you can change their diaper in the back seat anymore. You will want a nice long extra bench seat to change the poopies on.

i was planning on using something like this as a car seat... just plop the kid in there, kind of hold it in place with the seat belts, and off i go.

j/k. dawn is all over the britax stuff. my request is that it has separate bases and can click into a stroller.

I would love to get a recaro, but I will not be putting my child at risk in a seat belt at only 40lbs...........considering my fat little 9 month old is 22 lbs already, she will be too young for a seat belt IMO.
If the Recaros got their act together and built a 5 point that would go up to 65 lbs I would buy them in a heart beat, until then Scotty can just dream.

Britax just came out with a new stroller that is like the Rock Star and the infant seat can snap into it. However, as much as a carseat snob I am, I did not like the Britax infant seat and no one in my mom groups like them either. Also the new Britax stroller looks weak when compared to the Rock Star.
Honestly I have found that most babies do not like their infant seat once they hit about 3-4 months. It is not a very comfy recline and it puts them in a weird position. We had to switch V to the Marathon at 4 months, even though she was only 18lbs because she didnt last long in the infant seat. That is more common then not, plus an 18lbs kid in that infant seat gets hard as hell to lug around so you end up leaving it in the car anyhow.
plays well with others

We have the Britax Marathon, currently rear facing, and the seat is a monster. My back seat of my Nissian is of no use with the carseat in place.
Also, I know some newer cars are coming out with the floor tether tie downs, like the ones for the head when forward facing, but this would tether the head of the seat to the floor when rear facing. Do the 2006 have this feature?
Oh and if you have a wagon how well does your stroller fit in while still leaving room for major shopping trips to Gymboree
Thanks guys, oh and if you ever want Scotty to get a new car you better answer these questions well

i have had my GFs nephew in his seat in the back of the LGT. easy in easy out and it has the restaints uptop to keep it secure. back of the LGT has more space based on my napping experience in both wrx and legacys.
