Seriously though, what do you plan to shoot and what is your budget?
Shoot pretty much everything, not so much on the landscape though, still just learning and getting into it, so I dont want anything crazy expensive, the price difference from costco to a body only somewhere else should be around $300 so looking for something around $400+

I Would go with the Tamron 28-75mm XRDI F2.8 lens. I use this lens more than any other that I have. There are times that it is not quite wide enough but those have been relatively rare for me. Many of the pictures I shot at Matt's wedding were with this lens. It is very sharp and relatively fast...

The second most used lens in my kit is the Canon 70-200mm F2.8 L glass I have, but that is closer to $1,200 in cost and is way too long for use as a walk around lens...

i like that first dragonfly pic...very crisp!

you shooting in RAW or just jpg?

there is a really good video on the canon tips page
here is the main page:
http://www.photoworkshop.com/canon/index.html
on the lower right there is a "Tips & Techniques" section...the last menu choice is "Sharpening RAW Images" there is tons of good information on the video...
it really opened my eyes to the versitility of shooting in RAW to get the EXACT result you're looking for. especially since i work in print work every day...i've been able to crispen up the quality of images in print to get a better result than before.

In that first to last pic it looks like something fell off your car.

Nice pics though, you're getting better. They're all much more crisp. In other words you're getting more consistent.

haha, ya they where these truck stops for the trucks that load there, I didn't want to run around moving all of them. I definately think I am getting more consistent also, I noticed that I could have used ALOT of my pictures outa this batch... It actually surprised me. Thanks for the compliments, I still got lots to learn that's for sure. Alot of room for improvement, this is all self taught
