boost gauge install help

So i just spent 2 hours (lol) trying to install a boost gauge today with no luck. What i'm having difficulty with is fishing the vacuum line through the firewall. Took out the intercooler and all that jazz to give me more room to work. Tried using a coat hanger, but i think the metal it was too stiff and wouldn't turn. If anyone has installed one on an 08+...any tips would be welcome lol.

use the grommet that's down near the clutch. There's really no need to remove the intercooler, that just causes more work for you. If you feed the line through the grommet that's near the clutch, any sort of stick will do. Once you stick it through, you can shine a flashlight through there and mosey over to the engine bay and look where the light is shining through. Then you can stick your hand down in there and grab the line

If you're going in the grommet on the driver's side behind the intercooler, go down and to the right (about 5 o'clock position). I found the diy on iwsti or 3gwrx. I didn't see any grommet near the clutch on my 08 sti.

use the grommet near the clutch like the guys above have said. Turn the wheels all the way to the left and then pull out part of the inner fender and you'll see the grommet.

is that the one on the left side...kinda looks like a diamond (i think), not circular? I looked down there last night, and that's what i saw down by the clutch.

there's a pdf on post #6.

start on page 16 of the pdf to route your wire/line through the firewall.

I think so, I have my boost tube AND my 4 gauge cable run through there. Take the inner fender off, makes it REAL easy.
