Regarding the 200 treadwear... 140 is the minimum for SCCA "Street Tires". And the only excluded tire is the Pirelli P-Zero Corsa.
And I'd rather spend that $230 towards a turbo than the tires. I think that would make up for the gearing advantage a little better.
