anyone Discgolf?

So does anyone here discgolf? There are courses in Auburn, Grass Valley, Penn Valley, Santa Cruz, 2 in Tahoe, and 1 in Truckee. You see the yellow basket in the left of the picture. That is what you throw the disc into. The bag on the side of my car is full of disc so you won't have to buy any if you come out with me. That picture was at a Tahoe course.

I's like to hit up some courses this summer with some of my fellow i-clubbers in the sac area!

Trust me its a sport. It takes some skill to weave a disc through the woods for 800ft. I haven't met ayone that I took that didn't think it was at least fun.

There are some hippies but not very many the places I go. It's mostly 18-30 year old males with decent jobs looking for something to do in the mornings during the weekend.

Hmm , I probably have been there and forgot.

I know there is also a course in Rockland(sp), I can't remember if it's 9 or 18 hole now.

yUP, it is right across the street from my house, although I have never played, looks like an interesting sport.

Someone gave me a discgolf disc when I was helping him move a few years back. I wonder if I still have it kicking around...

I figured as much since that's the area I usually see/hear Kristina whipping through traffic.

There is a very nice technical coarse on Hazel Ave. next to Oak Ave. Its 18 holes and some are very difficult.

That's the one Nate and I were talking about. I've only driven by, but it looks nice from the road.

that is def an Orangevale sport!

always viewed is as a hippy "rage against the machine" of the sport of golf.
all my dad's friends are into it...
funny stuff.
it's the best place to go mullet hunting or see vintage 80's rocker band T's.

with that said...i'd play a few rounds just to say i did...
i'm sure it has it's amount of fun...of course i don't drink PBR so i may not enjoy it as much as the rest.

I thought the reason you didn't have a front tooth was because you didn't listen to Scott well enough

That was the second part of the story. The first part started when I was 13 and playing Disc Golf, it involves a swing and my lack of catching skills, thus leading to the knocking out of my front tooth. Scott just smacked me and caused a fracture in my jaw at the already week part (from the Disc Golf incident) the fracture is what is now being fixed.
