22450 - Stop Sign ticket :/
I'm not here to argue about getting out of the ticket or anything like that. I just wanted to know if any of you Sac folks have gotten popped recently for rolling through a stop sign and how much the fine was and if you were able to do traffic school to eliminate the point on your license.
Obviously reasoning behind my query I got pulled over tonight for it.
Thanks
Mark

I got a stop sign ticket about 3 years ago, fine was $161. Traffic school should be available as long as you haven't taken it in regards to any prior ticket within the last 18 months.
Edit: After doing a quick search, VC22450 fines are currently $214
re-edit: Snopes provided better info, 2011 basic bail amount set by the state is $154. Total bail varies by county.

Thanks for the input everyone. That's kind of the same information I've gathered, it looks like it varies by county so I'll have to wait and see how much El Dorado County wants to tack on...

You might as well do trial be declaration just in case the officer doesn't turn in his paper work. It's worth a shot so that you can try to keep your 1 traffic school get out of points free cards. Just google trial by declaration failing to stop.

TIf you did the crime, pay the fine. I challenged a ticket once for speeding but mostly because I didn't know how airplane tickets worked. I essentially was going to challenge there methods but they had a legal airtight story, I lost. Lol.
Point is, if you know you broke the law, why would lie and say you didn't.
I say be the man and own up to your ish.
Sorry OP I'm getting off my soapbox now.

just make sure you go to court and stand in front of the judge and plead guilty. the judge has substantially reduced every single one of my tickets just for doing that. i got a 380 dollar speeding ticket and he knocked it down to 40 bucks
