Me.
IT was bullshavick too. I had this van in front of me. They stopped like 3/4 the way over the line. Then pulled away so I didn't have far to go to get to the line. I stopped and then went. But because I was so close to the van and the van blocked the officers view of me he said I rolled it. I DID NOT.
Ran around $135.

I had a similar thing in that the officer issuing the citation didn't really have a clear view- down by Wasco in the vally north of Bakersfield, I was turning left onto a road where a semi was headed towards me, I figured I had plenty of time to get out in front of him, but the CHP following behind the semi felt I didn't come to a full and complete stop before executing my left turn, cost me $170 I think but it was a couple of years ago....

Holy S$^&! $140, $170!!!! Good lord almightay. My "violation" didn't involve a stop sign but the officer told me that the fine would be similar as it was a "failure to obey sign" offense. Basically, my friggin neighborhood is full of people with EXTREME amount of time on their hands. According to the the ticketing officer, a number of citizens pestered the P.A. City Council until they put up a sign forbidding turns from Middlefield Rd. onto Hawthorn and Everett in P.A. (between 7 and 10 a.m.). This is supposed to reduce traffic in this particular residential area. I happen to friggin live on Everett!!!! I was going home!!!! If there are too many cars in your neighborhood, move away from the busiest streets in the city (University, Lytton and Middlefield). Anyway, it's good to know that P.A. is resposive to its residents (at least on the west side of the freeway). Beware, if you work in Downtown P.A., do not turn onto Everett or Hawthorn to park between 7 and 10 a.m. (from Middlefield)...Officers will be posted for who know's how long. Anyway, have a good one.

just go to court. Bring something with your address on it. Tell him you live there.
Generally when they do this kind of thing it's ok for residents to enter and exit normally. There are areas all over pleasanton that do that because people cut off the freeways and blast through the neighborhoods.

I made a right turn on a red light once without coming to a complete stop. Same offense as running a stop sign... the fine was $271. This was 9 years ago, btw.

haha I had that happen to me when I was 19. scared the crap out of me. been stopping ever since. but it's much better now that I have a stick shift again. that was I can stop and put it into 1st. it's harder to stop if you have an automatic because you feel like you should just go.
