The new 2008 STI is supposed to be lighter and possibly come with 6 pot brakes. Do you think it will make 2004-2007 STI's less competitive in A Stock?

It depends. The 6pot brakes won't be much of a performance advantage on the course, but the lighter weight and more power definitely will.

But, one thing we don't know yet, is where the 08 STi will get classed. Its likely it'll be in A Stock, but honestly,you never know.

 

Great question! I was about to ask this myself. We don't know the class yet. But I have adopted my instructors favorite saying... a powerful engine is great, but powerful brakes win races.
