hey i still use my win2k box!
Vista seemed have a lot of compatiblity issues and other problems on initial release, but it's getting better. i might try it but uh, going with a "backup" copy for my "test drive" looks tough.
MS is dropping support for XP completely so you're gonna end up with vista sooner or later....

I have vista.
For a while I couldnt use iTunes untill they made the patch for it some time ago.
The're still some bugs to be worked out because I still cant run curtine programs I used to use. So far Ive been wanting to DL Adobe Photoshop but havent gotten around on doing it.
As of Office 2007. If you have Vista and you use Office. And then try to use it on a XP with Office 03. It's not going to work. I once had to show a Power point. So I transferd it to a flash drive. The outcome was bad. I got an F for the assignment.
At work I have seen a lot of computers come back from people who buy it for their companys. They claim that the Windows does not allow them to run their softwear.
All in all. Stay with XP. Vista still has a lot of bugs to work out. I have update being DL everday.
One big issue for a while was the printers. It couldnt recognize printers. And still cant for some. If you have this issue. Go to the developers website. Say HP go to the HP website and look for the patch for the vista drives. I still havent gotten around on doing this but my coworkers have told me how to do it.
Vista was build for more so of intertainment use. Nothing else.
It does have some cool features though. Like transparent windows! haha i think thats it.
If you are planing on upgreading to Vista. This is a reminder. You may have to upgrade your Ram. 1g recomended. 512mb is the lowest. Plus you might have to possibl upgread your graphic card.
