Panic,,,, it does not look good. According to Speed channel it is losing money because WRC does not get the ratings they want. They will probably put on an 18th hour of NASTARD. There is more on this on nasioc and a more in depth explanation and also a link to leave Speed some clean feedback about this. They(nasioc) just ask not to be hatefull, nasty, or talk about their baby,, nascar. I agree with them if we come off strong like a bunch of jerks we may lose WRC.
Hopefully they just havent signed a contract yet.

thanks for the followup.
maybe if speed channel aired the wrc coverage at a more conventional time
they would get more viewers. what do they expect by dropping wrc into
a late sunday timeslot? when they repeated the broadcasts, it was always
at 2 or 3am the night before a new event. i really don't understand how
90 minutes of rally coverage can't get a place on their schedule.
just as well: i get addicted to wrc over the last two years and even
met petter solberg this past summer, only to get coverage yanked
out from under me. guess i'll just have to start travelling around
the circuit like a deadhead....

I signed the petition that's also in this forum. Speed TV got my complaint via the email link. Then I went to my TV which is set up with DirecTV and Tivo. I went to the DTV settings menu, then to "channels I receive." I unchecked (deleted) the following channels (which are all infected with Fox programming disease):
SpeedTV: With WRC and F1 gone, this channel is just NASCAR garbage now. Bye.
My local channel 40: It's the local Fox clone station. Useless news, useless programs.
FX: Old Fox reruns. X-Files? Done that a long time ago.
Fuel: Who watches that thing anyway?
National Geographic Channel: Plz. Since Fox got hold of it, only 3rd graders have to watch it.
Fox Movie Channel: Mostly boomer-trash Hollywood. I like AMC a lot better.
All Fox sports channels. Never watched them. I do my sports outside, thank you.
Did I leave any out? If I can pick them up, I'll trash them too. More bloodletting the better. Being the nice little establishment robot that TIVO is, it will report my channel crimes to the proper authorities on the next upload.

this is what i sent... You can Copy/Paste if you want to SPAM Speed, change up the wording a bit you know------>
What happend to the World Rally Championship? Why so much Nascar? All WRC needs is a 90 minute slot about twice a month. You seem to have quite a bit too much Nascar, for hours and hours a day. I originally ordered speed specifically for WRC and am afraid i may cancel.
I know that WRC may get substantially lower ratings than Nascar, so why not give up a smaller timeslot (90 minutes to Nascars 6-12 Hours a day) but there are thousands of people who are severly dissapointed about losing WRC.
Nascar gets 150+ hours a month of airtime, while WRC only needs 3 hours a month and we have been happy with that amount of airtime in the past.
thank you for your consideration -Kyle
