Speed Channel is the crappiest channel.(Sorry ranting)
Is there anything worth watching on Speed Channel? Okay the F1 races and MotoGP are worth watching but I don't like Speeds commentators, I much prefer Eurosport. They don't even have WRC anymore. The shows they produce themselves are total crap and total ghetto. It used to be a good channel. What happend?

when they changed the name, they also changed the programming to include nascar which is covered 99% of the time that anyone watches that channel. What happened to the good ol' days when nascrap was on tbs or tnt or wherever it was and speed was for real races. Speed needs to make one channel with nascar and circle track crap and another channel with rally,f1 etc etc.

even then, circle track sucks...i somewhat dont even like IRL because its too nascar-ish with a bunch of circle tracks. I just dont see what the big deal is...punch it and turn left. yes i know you still need to know how to drive but seriously its boring as hell!

Any word on if the WRC will come back to Speed next season? I'm not a huge fan either, but wasn't it not really their fault about not having the coverage this year? Maybe ESPN should pick it up because of having rally X in the X Games. Wishful thinking.

although, i get the FIFTH GEAR and various 30 minute NON NASCAR shows like TEST DRIVE and stuff....
The problem happened when they sold Speedvision to Rupert Murdoch (of Fox fame). From then on, it turned from a labor of love to yet another media outlet aimed at maximizing revenue.
Immediately axed were the marine and aviation shows (<--which were frickin' awesome). In their stead, NASCAR programming was upped from 2% to 35%. But the worse crime is the addition of the "reality" type shows like Pinks. They consider this automotive programming, but it's quite different from the past automotive programming that delved in the history of all thing automotive.

I don't know about MotoGP since I don't watch it, but I remember Ralph Shaheen commentating WRC made me want to poke my ears out.

plus nascar isnt that bad.
it is just a different form of racing.

Agreed. now that I have it there is pretty much nothing to watch.
