Poor Solberg. The man can't seem to get a break at all.

It was sad just watching him after the press asked him what happened. He looks so defeated...

I am wondering how much longer he'll stay at Subaru.

With Citreon and Peugot both pulling out of WRC next year, where would he go?

Through 2006 at least, considering thats how long his contract is.

and at that point he really was, so I think his appearence at that point is understandable, he sure seemed happy at the end of Saturday though, and he and Phil were dominating the event until they went off.

My prediction is that he will be the 2006 world champion.

yeah it is pretty early to say that, but he is one of the worlds best drivers and next year he will have without a doubt the best WRC car and team backing him up.

Unless Citreon changes their plans.....Loeb will be in a new (to him) car next year, and unless whoever he's driving for can build a car as reliable as the Citreon's been this year, it's going to be tough for him to hold onto the title for a 3rd year

Loeb is sooo damn good, though. I don't think it will take him long to figure out the new car. He's been fast from his first event in the WRC, and hasn't looked back. I hate him. (Kinda like M. Schumacher, he's just too good.)

Petter could very well be the champ next year, but he'll need a little help from SWRT to get there. They boned him this year.

Loeb is a natural driver, for sure, but its hard to judge how quickly he'll pick up a different car. Loeb has been driving some version of the Xsara for ~6-7 years now, and he's had all the input on how to make the WRC spec car drivable for him.

Loeb will always be a competitive driver, but I doubt he will ever again be as dominate as he was this year.

Here's hoping that Solberg gets a better season next year. He's had his run of bad luck.

Rally Japan showed that Subaru finally made some changes and got the car to perform. Now I would look for Petter to take the last two rallies barring road hazzard. Next year will be a good year.
