Special stage commentary :

Mikko Hirvonen is having an hydraulic problem with his Impreza; his car is currently stuck in fifth gear.

Sweet!

Also, looks like Hirvonen got to stay in (and keep his place) due to some rule I've never heard of.

What an awesome rally. I couldn't think of a single thing that could stop Petter from taking it... except another DNF. He went wire to wire didn't he? Oh, and good job keeping the thread title sanitary Viking067. Much appreciated!

I think Loeb only needs 1 point to seal the championship.

Yeah, there are 5 rallies left, so 50 points are up for grabs. Lets say Petter wins all 5, so he gets 50 points and he'e +20 over Loeb. That means Loeb has to get 21 points over 5 rallies, or average 4.2 points per rally. Four 5th place finishes, and one 4th place finish wins him the championship.

Petter isn't mathematically eliminated, but it damn near seems like it. Seb honestly doesn't need to push hard to win the championship. But, you can't fault him, its really been an amazing year for him.

Whoops, I thought there were 3 rallies left. Where did I get that idea?

Heh, I vaguely remember saying "There is only like 3 rallies left or something" last week, but I don't know if you were there or not though.
