Sweet!
Also, looks like Hirvonen got to stay in (and keep his place) due to some rule I've never heard of.

What an awesome rally. I couldn't think of a single thing that could stop Petter from taking it... except another DNF.
He went wire to wire didn't he? Oh, and good job keeping the thread title sanitary Viking067. Much appreciated!

of course its a great win for subaru cause its JAPAN however, loeb is still leading and this sucks. lets all hope dnf next two races
then maybe we can win otherwise well have to settle for a 2nd place podium finish : (

Yeah, there are 5 rallies left, so 50 points are up for grabs. Lets say Petter wins all 5, so he gets 50 points and he'e +20 over Loeb. That means Loeb has to get 21 points over 5 rallies, or average 4.2 points per rally. Four 5th place finishes, and one 4th place finish wins him the championship.
Petter isn't mathematically eliminated, but it damn near seems like it. Seb honestly doesn't need to push hard to win the championship. But, you can't fault him, its really been an amazing year for him.
