05 STI offer help
05 STI offer help
Need some help determining if I am getting a fair deal for a new 05 STI. I have been in contact with several dealers in Oregon. So far, Ken over at Carr Subaru has given me a deal of invoice(30,680) for a pre ordered sti and a trade-in value for my silver 03 wrx of 17,500. I was told that we cannot use the subaru trade-up program currently offered, which would give me a trade-in value of 18,300.The following is a quote from his email explaining why I can't use the trade-up program,
" Subaru, puts promotions together for their retail sales departments based on a fixed price for the new cars. Since I am in the wholesale department my pricing is far less than my retail staff can offer on the Sti. They would start the sale price at $7,990.00 over MSRP. I am at dealer invoice. No problem on any expiration of programs."
However, Robert over at Gresham Subaru has agreed to match Ken's invoice price plus I will be able to use the trade-up program if I can pick from his current stock of blue, silver, or white. What do you guys think? I have heard good things about Ken, but his above statement makes me think twice. I would like any advice that anyone has to offer.
Thanks,
Dave

If you can get it for true invoce 30,680 with the dest included and a full 18500 off the price for the trade in and no additional extended war. $12180 plus tax on that amount plus tabs and you are not financing the rest for over 3.5%, it is a good deal unless your trade in is in very good/low mile condition.
Dave,
I have been looking around for financing and have not seen anywhere advertising for lower than 3.75% for 12-36 months. Do you know of a lower rate elsewhere? I can definitely get invoice of 30,680. Two other dealer have agreed to match invoice offered by Ken at Carr. However, I have heard in the NASIOC forum that Christian over at Carr is honoring the trade-up program where as Ken is not honoring that same program. I will see what I can do.
Thanks,
Dave

try roy robinson. they offered me 17,000 trade-in on my 2000 RS and 29,000 for a new 04 STi couple months ago.
3.75% is pretty good for a 12-36. I will post if I find it lower.
