keep the hood it looks nice. it makes it look like a wrx!

so basically you paid roughly $405 for a scoop and nonfunctional vent?

I didn't intend it too, but its lighter too and still cheaper than a good carbon fiber hood.

Basicly, once it started getting expensive, I wasn't going to just give up.

 

Is the scoop detachable? Or is it molded into the hood?

If it can be removed, replace it with something like this.


Then it would really be good looking.

 

well since it is much lighter than stock. maybe you should invest in some hood pins. just incase it starts getting windy and flies up on you.....personally i dont like the look of pins but i'd rather be safe than sorry

 

what if it rains?? just a thought..

 

Those are the same things I was worried about. But I already took it up to about 80 and no signs of problems, if I'm going faster then that, then I am in some trouble with more then just the hood. And its been in the rain already, I don't see the problem with a little water. The WRX gets just as much water in it and has no problems.

The scoop is removable, but I'm not a big fan of reverse scoops.
