Trunk lock painted body color

Need opinions. Don't hold back, I am a big boy I can take it

Pic is of poor quality sorry (camera phone)

Did 3 coats of Suby PSM and one good coat of clear. You can barely tell the dif, which is whatI was going for. I like subtle changes that you usually don't notice.

Here is my car for ref '05 PSM STi.

I have no badges whatsoever and I wanted to shave the trunk lock but until I have the time to paint the entire trunk I thought I would try this.

looks like it turned out ok. i like the subtle changes too. do you think the paint will chip off or scratch if you miss the keyhole?

can you get a higher quality picture?

I will get a better pic tonight. I plan to just use the inside lock, but I figured withthe clear coat on there it might be resistance to scratching and chipping. Time will tell as I have yet to stick me key in it. Should be good and cured by now so I think I will try it and see if it chips/scratches.

^ That picture was taken at Hammy, right?

I can't tell it's painted with the shadow over the back of the trunk. It reminds me of when the lock is dirty so it's not as shiny. As long as the paint is smooth then it should look pretty nice.

They are the H&R Sport Springs. Thank you for the compliments. I put on the WRX scopp yesterday and here is how it turned out. Only the TRAINED eye can still tell it's an STi. Can't wait until my jdm white fender turn signals come in.
