I have the Perrin FMIC in black. I just need to install it when I get my turbo. I am leaving a scooped hood as I think they look funny without. Tint the tails? What fer? Won't I get pulled over too?

I'm just saying that's what I would do... It's your car man.

I don't know, is tail tint "less-than-legal"...?

Where I live, as long as the light is the correct color and you have the proper reflecting bits, you're okay. They can be any color when they're not lit. The law just says that a turn signal must be such-and-such color or a parking lamp must be this-or-that color.

So as long as tint didn't interfere with the color of the lamp (red is red is red legally) and as long as it was still bright enough to see, you should be good.

But that's only in CO.

why not just take your flat black fetish to your interior trim. I did satin black and it came out great. It looks a lot nicer that the cheap silver that Subaru gives us. The good thing is that you can rip it all out and still drive the car, no matter how many times you mess up. Krylon fusion works great. Oh and your car looks great, you and I seem to share the same respect for subtlety.

I tried tininting my last car's reverse lights and it was purple when I did it light, kept applying coats trying to get rid of the purple and by the time I was done they were black, until the sun hit them dead on and then they were purple (VHT NIGHT SHADES btw)

before

after

I was less than happy with the results. Wish I had a better picture.

btw putz flame suit on for previous car
