either way its just way easier to put the wrx tank on, that way everything hooks together perfectly so i dont have to deal with any of that sort of stuff.
plus my old gas tank was just, well old and dirty. i had a new one around and i figured why not, i might as well.
old:
new: kinda hard to see but its basically pretty damn clean
its nice to get a bunch of new stuff on there. I pretty much replaced every single nut and bolt on the car with brand new shiny, and rust free bolts and nuts. it was pretty bad. still need to deal with the body rot though
(above wheel well)
its like this on both sides, better on passenger side

^ you too! now i have to swap mine!
Is wiring really that bad? My friend only paid $300 to get his 510 wired to an SR20...i mean...he plugged it in and placed the wire, but they labeled and cut everything.
I figure having someone to do wiring once you do the dirty work cant be more than $2000...id say $1000.

i believe that garage tuning in socal charges 1k to merge the wrx and the rs harness for you. kind of a lot of money, but it would save so much time/trouble
it also depends what you do too, you can either merge the wrx engine harness with the rs harness or use the entire harness from the wrx and splice/merge where neccesary (like 7 or so locations)

haha nice dude, but once thats done, you know its all fun from there
so some good news today
The mechanic says that he can succesffuly communicate through the ecu, the fuel pump is definetely working/priming and the injectors are working now, but the ignition coils aren't doing anything (car won't start yet). he is going to be putting some time on the car on monday for a few hours with the electrician, hopefully it gets solved by then.
He understands that i need this thing done so he is going to really try to make it a priority to get it done (been in there a long time with no progress, other cars still coming in)
hopefully monday brings good news
