there was an article last year about making the Z fast. I think they twin turbo'd it did a full make over for around 10-15k, quite a bit if u ask me. I don't like the Z's but I do like thier "cousin" the G-35 coupe. If I were going to pick the Z, it would only be because it's more 'car,' meaning the inside isn't so bare. I don't know if anyone else ahs seen one, but a G-35 Skyline? Yeah. hot damn. . .
There was an interesting BMI video when the Fair Lady Z came out and they detailed the differences between it and the G35. I would choose the Z hands down; more engineering went into it to make more of a sports car, i.e. stiffer etc.

a skyline in japan is basically a G35 shell over a Z. over here it has the luxery Infinity suspension, more sound deadening, more crap to warrent it being a luxery car. I know the skyline has the same driveline and suspension and exhaust as our Z, while the G35 has things to make it ride smoother and more quiet.

If I'm not mistaken here, you're comparing a modified Z to a stock G35 coupe. I also like the lines of the G-35 more. The article I read included the GReddy Z, twin turbo'd and what not. They said it was too much $ for what they ended up with. I need to find the article. I'll ask my roommate if he still has it.

The show is made in Japan and it was a stock Z compared to a stock G35. The DVD is called "The 350Z Shock!!!". You can rent them from blockbuster and off of Net Flix.
