I've been weighing my options...
I'm getting a '99 Impreza very soon and I'm already thinking about what I'm going to do to it... I'm trying to decide between a (1) WRX Swap (2) Stage 2 turbo kit (LudeSpeed of FAT). Any comments, opinions, suggestions are appreciated. Thanks. Oh, where would I post a question about a WRX Swap? (What forum I mean)

I would swap the motor to an ej20. it is not cheap, but the turbo kit cost like 3500-4500 from most places and the motor will cost you about 3000 for a good swap. You cam run about 16 pounds of boost on the ej20 without changing anything and only about 6 or 7 pounds on the stock motor. more boost equals more power. I have heard that the wiring for the swap is a pain though.

That is true but I am not a patient person... well, I can be patient, but thats a different story. I'd love to do that but my budget is $4500 to turbocharge the car... Is there anyway i could do the swap for that little of money? I could install the engine myself (or get some help) but I've heard that the wiring is a real pain in the ***... I don't know... A "real" 1999 WRX does sound so damn sexy and tempting
