Difference between 17's and 18's

Currently, I am riding on the stock 16's but I have been pondering about getting 17's. However, before I get 17's, I would like to hear from people who have 18's and how it rides. Also, I would like to know if you can feel a major difference betwen 17x7.5 and 17x8.

they did a test a while ago for m3s... the 18s proved to be better. duno about our cars though.
i think 17s are ideal for wrx performance.
but 18s look better. i'm getting 18s cuz i want looks. haha.

18's

i've got 18's. the ride isnt that bad, but you can def. feel the smaller bumps better. i also have the tein s-tech spring kit. the car is my daily driver and i dont find it a hassle at all. just watch out for potholes. i'm in michigan where we have some notorious streches of pock marked road, i just try to steer away from the big ones.
