So a couple months ago I had the 90k and 105k services done at FW, my roommate is the lead tech there.
When doing so he told me that the front passenger axle boot was torn (common as its right next to the DP) and ill need to replace it soon.
So we planning on doing it this last weekend along with all the other parts I had. Got under the car, and it had already been replaced... He forgot he did it at the shop when he did the other service

So that left me with front/rear swaybars/endlinks and fender braces.
Got the OEM bars/endlinks out and got the rear installed in 20 minutes. Then moved to the front. It was being a huge PITA, fought me every second and after messing with it for almost 2 hours, finally got the bar in with the endlinks. But it didnt look right to me. Got my roommate to come out and take a look and he didnt think it was right either. The bar was hitting the endlinks with or without load on them. So I decided to run the whiteline part number to find out the front bar was for an 08-14.... way wider than 02-07 lol. So I was given the wrong front. I said forget this, I was irritated and left the car on jacks in the garage over night.
The next morning I struggled to remove the damn bar and endlinks, took me about 45 mins to get it out
Then moved on to the fender braces.
Paranoid Fab vs OEM

Installed

After I finished, i took the car out around the block and WOW, what a difference. Even with no front swaybar, the car felt much tighter than before. Going to order a new bar thru Snail Performance and get that here hopefully tomorrow or Wed and install it. Just in time for next weekends Tahoe meet.

Went to take the car in this morning to get an alignment on it.
They came back out and told me the passenger tie rod is no bueno.
So I went to Maita and got two new front tie rods (might as well do both). They did not have the boots or the lock rings I needed tho. They had to order them.
Also, they could not find a lock washer for an 05 STi, it doesnt come up when they search via VIN number. So from looking around on the interwebs, the 06/07 WRX also uses the same 16mm tie rods as the 05 STi. 02-05 WRX are 14mm. So I told the dealer to order the lock washers for the 06/07 and that part number is: 34127SA000. Ill double check it when they come in, but should be good.
Figured might as well throw in a bump steer kit while everything was open down there since the car is lowered. Lucky me, Travis at Snail had one in stock for me

So maybe this weekend, if the boots and washers arrive in time, I might be able to get everything installed.

Boots and lock washers came in yesterday. Go figure, they fit
So I might try to find time and install all this stuff this weekend, alignment after.

Upon actually getting under the car.. it was determined that the tie rods were fine... No idea why they told me it was bad.
So didnt replace either and didnt get the whiteline kit in either. Ill just keep everything at the house for when I actually need it
But last Friday took the car in and got it aligned. Then yesterday was BAM 2k15!
Had a great time, as always, and Team Moist was a vendor for the first time ever

Tire fairy stopped by yesterday. Dropped off some new rubber for winter.

Hankook Ventus S1 Noble2 235/45/17.
Getting ready to take my other wheels to powder-coat them, then throw the new rubber on.

Been talking to a few places about powder coating my Sparcos. Waiting for 1 to call me back.
Might end up being a 2-stage since I want a candy color
Hoping to get them started pretty soon here.
