Ok back on track!
Switched over to imgur and got the most recent trip uploaded.
The first time I drove up into Tahoe National Forest, I was by myself, random Thursday while everyone was working. It was quiet, there was snow, and it was beautiful.
Short dirt road heading out to a spot where we've been shooting.
Made it out to the canyon overlook
The further up the road, the colder it was getting and all the puddles were freezing over

Headed back out to the main road to continue going further uphill. They do not plow the road, so it quickly became a "one-lane" road haha. I took that for a few more miles and pulled off onto a paved/gravel/beat-to-crap road lol.
No one around but me!

From that semi-paved road, I found a dirt logging road. Decided to head up it to see what I find.
Found some big clearings and brush stacks. Im guessing they are either going to be having some controlled burns, or slowing start hauling all the stuff out.
For whatever reason, a lot of people liked this pic from my IG lol.
I had spent close to 2 hours messing around, and was coming up close to 1/4 tank of gas (was no where near full when I left the house). So decided it was time to start heading back down the hill. Before then, of course, had to snap a few more pics out on the road.

A few days later, my friend who has a Crosstrek AND a new Taco, wanted to head out to play around in the new truck.
We decided to head out to where I had been, and explore some more options out that way.
This was at the same exact brush pile I had snapped a pic at earlier, only difference was 3 days had passed with no snow
From there was decided to head further out than I had been. Finding some single lane trails heading up the hills. Lots of mud, loose rock, and steep drop offs. Luckily I had saved Google Maps for offline use (and there is ZERO cell phone reception out there), so we could at least see where the trail was leading.
Stopped a few times to just stand around and take in the scenery. Our ladys didnt mind the views lol
From the top of the hill, heading back down to the main road
The main road does go most of the way out to Tahoe Lake, which I would like to try and do once the snow starts to melt a bit (we're going to get a big storm this Sat-Tues).
