I am finally back to working on the Legacy and the next thing was to get the front knuckle and Hub assembled.
The issue I had was with the Strut/Wheel combination I wanted. The wheel was 5x100 and the strut was for 05 -07 Impreza STI.
The rear strut bolted direct to the knuckle which was from an 04 STI 5x 100
The strut mounted into the Legacy BC by using a set of Cusco top strut mounts.
The issue came with the front lower strut mount the 5x100 04 STI will not bolt into the lower mount clevis because the bolt spacing is different between the two years, so we drilled the 5x114 hub assembly and machined the studs to clear the bearing housing. So now I have 5x 100 front hub assembly made from 2005 Impreza STI. Once again A Cusco top mount was used to fit into the BC Legacy.

To overcome the final issue which is the diameter if the 5x114 being larger I will use one of the two piece brake rotors that is drilled 5x100 as well as 5x114 and that won't be an issue.

Glad to see there are still updates coming, albeit very infrequently. Shop looks great, very befitting of the extent to which you are rebuilding the Legacy.

The STi looks great Nick. I like to treat my cars to "Birthdays" when they reach certain milestones. When my truck rolled to all zeros (5 digit odometer) I treated it to fresh gaskets, ARP head studs, intake, new carb, header, new exhaust, new shocks, and a stereo upgrade. It was happy.

It's just about four weeks to the trip to N .Z now and I'll finally get to spend some time driving my Impreza 22B and the 1990 Legacy type r I bought a while ago. I have been doing a lot for my shop but very little to the Legacy so I don't have any project updates. The Impreza has been repainted after someone spilled something over it that ruined the clear coat and stained the paint. I will get that back tomorrow.
I have bought a new truck and trailer and have finished and sold the second Shadow F1 car. I will be expanding into the shop next door in December and hopefully next thing on the agenda will be to get more done on the Legacy although it's been difficult with the work investments taking up the money.

Hi Guys, I have a great update, over the
last year I have been working on Importing my Impreza 22B and my Legacy type R as well as making some small progress on the Legacy RS type RA project. The Cars arrived in the USA two weeks ago and are now sitting in my shop. I’ll post updates as things move along, there’s a project ahead with the 22B and I’m buying parts to be able to clean it up to better condition.

One of the things that I have been doing with my business is heavy investing into equipment. We have custom made a lot of things which are in the photos of the gearbox stands and nitrogen bottles carts etc and then also I have been buying equipment from Breda that supply the F1 teams as well as many other series in Europe. Here's the photos of what I have as far as equipment now
