02RS25's bugeye to hawkeye swap
#16
Hey man good work on your swap, I did the same one! Looks like your doing it perfectly. Just wanted to through it out there I figured out how to wire the stock duel filament wiring into 2 beams that work with the high beam correctly using 2 SBDT relays and an extra ground. If you need any help on the wiring let me know! Good luck sorry about your accident man.
ya, it sucks, ill definitely miss my bugeye. but **** happens, and all we can do from it is learn and move on. took me 9 hours from LA to SJ on the way back. stopping at all rest stops and walking around, not risking another accident. i literally had a lemon and made some very tasty lemonade out of it! plus, i really enjoy working on cars and picking up new traits, skills. (this was the first time i ever welded anything. now i want to weld everything!) I work full time as sales tax accountant and working at the shop is a nice balance to my life. lol. glad you liking what you see! if and when i find an 07 hood to borrow, ill be driving the subie around town (alginment, exhaust, fix it ticket) before getting her painted.

Good for you dude I'm really happy it's working out! I had never welded anything ether when I did mine I ended up using a spot welder to do most of it. The car is looking really good! You need to post pics of your fitment I'd like check it out! Did u leave your ddrl's? I switched to oem d2r/d2s in the hawkeye setup and disconnected the ddrl's, just wondering how it worked out for you. As for having lemons and makin lemonade I think that's an understatement lol

Here she is! Done for now. Paint will have to wait until after subiefest Im running my old 02 hood for now to keep my engine bay protected as i run a few errands before subiefest (alignment, exhaust, window fix it ticket sign off) Im in dire need of an 06-07 hood if anyone has one relatively cheap. Ill be doing a photoshoot when i find a new hood. the one im currently waiting for wont be here until mid October. i want to find one ASAP so if something doesnt align with hood on, i have time to reweld or do whats needed.
