WTB - Lighter flywheel. 16lbs+ Possible?

I have 3 oem wrx flywheels all weighing in at 23 lbs...

And a exedy lightweight for a wrx at 12.7 lbs..

One is too heavy, one is too light. I don't want either!

Does anyone have a solution? Do any machine shops around here lighten oem flywheels?

I'd be interested in an aftermarket but cant find any over 14lbs or so. What do you have? Are sti flywheels interchangeable or any lighter than 23 lbs???

There's an OEM Sti one from Japan that's like around that weight. that's what I'm using in the 6 speed.

I think a 5 speed clutch would be okay with that. Where'd yah get it?

The parts numbers are different for sti flywheels. I really need to get my hands on an oem sti one to see if they fit.

The OEM STI one for a 5MT is approximately 12 pounds.

Too light... agh.

Oem Sti flywheels only fit if you grind the 5mt bellhousing away..

There is. 12 lbs too light for what I'm looking for.

Meant to say the oem 18lb flywheel for 6 speed won't fit.

Sorry only way I can figure out how to post from my Android is the quote button!

I still want a 17 lb flywheel for 5mt, but it looks like it doesn't exist...
