Lighter Plug to Power Outlet Mod
If anybody has read the GC8 impreza manual, they would have learned that you're not supposed to use the lighter plug as a power outlet.
I was wondering if anybody out there knows how to change the lighter plug into a power outlet.
Is there a genuine oem subaru power outlet that replaces that lighter plug?

They just put that in the manual to cover their butts.
The moving part of the lighter is inside the housing so "scratches" would not affect its operation. Hell the lighter would "scratch" the plug.
If you want extra outlets I would get a multi plug an hard wire it so you can charge a phone or whatnot without having the key in the ignition. Thats my next mod, I'm tired of my phone always being dead.
