Who needs a clutch???

Ok so the new Competition clutch kits just got released for the WRX and STI, we have been testing a couple for a while and let me tell you bang for the buck is an understatement!

They have a couple of options and we have them all here so if you need a clutch PM us for a quote and you wont be dissappointed (way less than ACT etc!)

As of right now they are offering a stage 2 and a Stage 4, the stage 2 is comparable to a ACT street clutch and the Stage 4 is like a ACT 6 puck sprung. The pricing we have on there units is insane so drop us a line and we'll hook you up.

We only have limited supply this week until the next batch arrives so let us know ASAP

would the stage 2 hold up to 350+ or will I need the stage 4?

Karlton - The stage 2 would work just fine for your current levels, that being said if you intended to push your setup as far as it would go on race gas I would have to say you would want the stage 4.

I would estimate that you would get good clutch life out of the stage 2 up to about 370ftlbs on our dyno, anything that is on that level or pushing more would really want to go for the stage 4.

I already asked this in another thread, but as much info as I can get is better. Some people say that the stock clutch in a wrx(not sur if 02 is in the list) is comparable to an exedy stage 1. What is the exedy OEM(part# ksb03) good for then? Whould a Exedy OEM clutch be able to handle the power output from an 02 wrx with up and down pipe and an AP OTS stage 2 tune?

Thanks

Whoa, holy old thread! For future reference you can always just PM us or start a thread in our GST section. As vendors we can't lock threads in the classifieds, although I think we should be able to.

Exedy OEM products and racing products are totally different categories. Exedy Stage 1 Organic clutch kit is different and better than a OEM clutch kit. For a daily driver with the general exhaust modifications with a tune an OEM clutch kit would work but I always recommend looking into the future and upgrading with Exedy Stage 1 or ACT Street.

Thanks,
Greg
