I bought the helmet new two weeks ago and have worn it three times. Still has the new smell if you put it on. The helmet is DOT approved and also ECE approved which their standards are higher than DOT and SNELL. Does have a couple scratches on top but the pics couldnt show them and they are very minor. Anyways 55 bucks takes it. I bought it for a motorcycle but it is an awesome helmet for the track... sac raceway requires a DOT helmet if you are faster than 14.0 in the quarter mile
