quick question, do they just do a visual inspection or do they put my car on a sniffer? could i pass with the aftermarket fuel pump and modded injectors?

yes you can pass with a bump and injectors, you need to have your oem cats and a cat back under 95db and you should be fine. I passed with a 18g 85cc injectors and a up pipe. all I did was change out my down pipe and but my stock catback on

it is was a noise violation you dont need to do anything but the noise test.
if its modified emissions its the same as a standard smog test vis, functional and tailpipe. the reason others have passed with injectors or uppipes is because they are difficult to see not because they are legal. so you still run the risk of failing.

^ I would say yes on that, but a fmic does noting for smog and sound...on the dmv page it says someplace that it is ok to have a fmic but I don't know where

sorry for all the questions, and especially in the wrong forum now, but would i need to retune for the injectors or no? i have a tune for my fpgreen with a cold air intake and topmount intercooler, could i pass with a stock airbox and stock tmic? by passing i mean if they were to put a sniffer on my stock exhaust and downpipe.

the front mount has to go,replacing a top mount is legal, changing to a front mount is not as its modifys emissions equip. intercoolers absolutely play a part in your vehicle emissions.
if your current tune is interfearing with OBD2 programming, monitors etc, this can create a functional fail. during the obd test. some tunes go un-noticed by the esp some do not.
do you have both the part number sticker and the CARB EO# sticker on the aftermarket intake? if not back to stock airbox or vis fail
about 3/4 of the refs can identify a aftermarket turbo in a heartbeat so if your leaving your green on there hope you get a less savvy ref.
its not a matter of IF the ref runs a lead into your tailpipe he will as,thats one part of the test. will changing out your box and intercooler change the results of the tailpipe emissions part of the test? not likley, but you will fail for vis if you do not go back to stock.
