Mac Book Pro For Sale
Yes, retail is about $2000 on a *new* Macbook Pro.
Macbook Pro actually has a video card. MacBook has integrated graphics with shared video memory with system RAM. I.E., Macbook Pro kills MacBook in video tests.
But the new MacBooks and Pro's have Core 2 Duo's made on a 45 nm process, running cooler (temperature wise) and with longer battery life. Also, further development in software has optimized processors for 64bit Core2 functionality over 32bit Core1 functionality.

New Macbooks and Macbook Pros have Core 2 Duo....
Al was right in saying a new macbook is better than your mbpro.
Core 2 Duo > Core Duo
Your computer has to be more than a year and half old because they have been using core 2 duos for over the last year and a half.

??? That wasn't what I was saying. Al posted up a picture of a Macbook, not a Macbook Pro. They're completely different machines that you can't compare to each other.
Yes, new Core 2 Duo's are faster, but what the OP posted up for an asking price is not ridiculous or high for what he is selling. Also, MacBook's have integrated cards (another posted posted about this) and MBP's have actual GPU's.

Comparison of Core Duo vs Core 2 Duo. New MBP are even faster, but *shrug* OP's asking price is fair, imo.
Similarly priced MBP on Craigslist: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/sys/705362969.html

I would choose the older MBP.
Here is a better test that shows the Macbook (Core2Duo) vs Macbook Pro (CoreDuo)

Again, Macbook has a faster processor but the graphics dont come close to the Pro.

Al for the douche again.
Bump for a great computer. The MacBook's have case problems (like the case cracking) but the Pro has the nice aluminum case which can take a beating
