Looking to go 5x100 on my 06 sti, now I'm wondering if anyone with an 04sti would like to trade? If even possible?

Why in the hell would you want to switch from 5x114.3 to 5x100?
You realize that would be a downgrade right?
That would be like switching out your vf39 turbo for a td04... but hey!
If you wanna do that, I'll be more than happy to swap turbos.

no mames calisuby... i rather have 5x114.3 than 5xfail100... just stay... only reason it looks like 5x100 has more wheel variety is because 5x100 come on wrx, wagon, forester, 04 sti... and 5x114 are only on 05-07 sti... but in reality there are more variety in 5x114 than you think...

You are all missing the most important functional point here, which is the bigger and more robust - not to mention easier-to-change - bearings in the 05+ STi hubs.
Second, you can get almost whatever wheels you want with either bolt pattern. But,when you can change a hub bearing by removing nuts and bolts rather than having to take the whole hub off and then take it to a machine shop or a friend with a 12 ton arbor press, the benefit becomes very apparent.

By staying with the 5x114, you can get wheels from 06+ Civics, Evos, 350z, G35/7, Other Sti, and many other cars out there. Plus they have better width and offset options.
If you really want the 17x9 just run hub adapters 15mm bolt ons. Unless you track your car. I have seen 5x114 17x9 before though like grids come in them i believe and the p45r from rota. Also some Advans do as well.
