So I freakin got a nail on my right front tire. The tire couldnt be fixed due to a damaged bead... Whatever that means. Anyways the guys at americas tires are hookin me up with some goodyear eagle f1 gsd3....

With the pro rate and free replacement. Im getting all 4 for $328 out the door........... I am saving like 600 dollars with the pro rated discount and free replacement

Ok, a damaged bead,is a improper mount or dismount that rips the edge of your tire or the part that goes into the lip of your wheel and holds there. If that really was the case then whoever did your mounting of your tires should be liable for that damage, and I'm guessing you went to America's Tire for the repair because you bought it from them? Then, see if they still have that tire, or if you still have it even better. Bring it to the shop you brought it from, and unless the nail is the real reason, such as it being in the sidewall, then you shouldn't be held for a non-repairable due to a ripped bead.

As for pro-ration, all it is is taking the % of tread left on your tire and applying % to a similar tire usually of the same brand. For example, if you had a tire, and had 50% tread left and you had an unrepairable injury, then to replace the tire, they'd multiply the price by 50% and deduct that price from your new tire. So if the tire cost $100 they'd subtract $50 from the tire price and give it to you for $50. So in reality, all you're doing is getting the money back that you paid for on that tire.

Smile Sticky WET tires...

I have a set of these on my stock rims that I put on during the rainy months here in SAC town. They are on par with my Bridgestone POTENZA SO3s that I have on my 17" OZ Racing rims. They scored a tad better in the wet grip according to Tire Rack's reviewer ratings. My opinion - EXCELLENT wet tire.

Thumbs up They both scored...

9.3 on the dry grip.

Personally, I can't tell the difference on the dry grip. They're both great.
