getting some new tires

I just put in an order to get some General Exclaim UHPs today and will be putting them on later this afternoon. 475.00 including mounting and balancing. I will be putting up reviews later on them once I get some miles.

has anyone run these tires and what are your opinions of them?

I read a somewhat negative review of them in an issue of Sport Compact Car a few months back. I have to find the issue, but one of the more tech-oriented writers claimed that the tire was an odd mixture of a high performance tread design with a mud and snow rated tread compound, which translated to squishy handling under spirited driving. So my guess is that this tire would be good for someone whose driving skill would not demand a strong performer, but who would be more likely to do a fair amount of driving in all-weather condition. But I never tried a set, so I cannot say for sure. And the price seems okay, so idk.

I had them decent daily driving tire. No performance though sidewalls were softer than a babies butt...
