Long story short, I bought a used COBB catted downpipe, and found that it's actually a catless COBB downpipe that has some ceramic cat welded in. This does NOT have a high flow metal cat that comes with COBB downpipes, and the style looks identical to the stock cat (and therefore it's likely as restrictive as a stock cat). All I can gather is that it's a CANAMMEX cat.

I'm thinking this could be a good candidate for gutting the cat and maintaining the look of being catted. Plus it's still a COBB product, so besides the cat and welds around the cat, it's in good shape. The welds, although not pretty, are solid with no holes. Also, if you want me to remove the heat wrap so that you can see the COBB stamp on the bellmouth, let me know.
