Hey there Subydudes and Subygals, I've got a nearly new Cobb AccessECU stage 2.5 using a VF34 and 91octane for an '03 with a manual transmission. The only catch is I need your stock '03 ecu in exchange. Why you ask? Well because I am going to a UTEC, and need a stock ECU. Heres how it will work:

You buy my AccessECU for your '03 WRX
You install it in your vehicle at my house with my help.
You take your stock '03 ECU you just took out at my house and give it to me.
You drive like a madman, and enjoy the heck out of your new power and driveability.

What I may have failed to tell you is that Cobb can even reflash this ECU for $20 making it no big deal if you don't have a VF34. You can use a stage 1 or 2 map and be done with it. Please dont hesitate to ask me any questions. I know I have alot of questions, and I expect nothing less from you guys.Its a win win situation.

The price you ask $280!! And I will install it for you. Shoot, if you want a map other than the stage 2.5 I will even send it to Cobb and get it reflashed ahead of time so that you can plug it in and its ready for your mods. Just add about $40 because of the reflash cost and shipping both ways.

I will be running a fmic soon, so can cobb create a decent map that will work with my setup... also what if I wanted to get it dyno tuned, can tuners messs with the ecu??

i have heard that Trey at Cobb will sometimes tweak maps for people, however only cobb can tweak their own maps.

 

so would it be real difficult to get a solid map for a fmic and possibly turbo manifold (headers)? I can sure send the ecu in but will the map give me optimal perfomance?? I really want this but not sure if It can work with my mods

 

also why are you going with a utec?? Interested in adding new mods?? Or tunning capability

 

well, you'd be best off calling Cobb and finding out about the FMIC and header. Typically their tunes run rich, so a header may help lean things out a bit. I am going UTEC because I have bought alot of parts that are beyond the capability of the AccessECU, and I want to have a new toy to tweak.
