(Edit SOLD) FS: VF34 Package-brand new

Purchased from Gruppe-S 2 weeks ago for my wagon, but just bought an sti so I wont be needing this. Paid $1249.00 plus tax...will let go for $1100. Gruppe-S will take it back but will charge me 25% restocking fee, what a ripoff. It wasnt even a special order item...Anyway, my loss is your gain. Located in Hayward, will deliver within reason for free.

Kit consists of a VF34 turbo, pink injectors, walbro 255 fuel pump, & gaskets...exactly what you'll get if you order it from Gruppe-S ucks.

a lot of shops do this. Skate, snow, surf shops do it as well.

It is very standard business practice dood. I'm sorry you feel that way, but you should have been 110% sure you wanted to dump $1300+ on a turbo kit you wouldn use instead of realizing later that it was not the best impulse buy.

Good luck seeling this kit, it will make someone else very happy I am sure.

back on topic though....restocking fees do suck, but unfortunately that's the cost of doing business w/places that deal w/"speciality" or big ticket items, like car parts. The turbo package might not have been special order, but it's not stuff that is readily bought or sold every day or even week......like say, jeans from a dept store.

but Gruppe-S is one of the good vendors out there, especially in the Suby community, which unfortunately has more than a handful of not so reputable establishments.

dude thats harsh you shouldn't put down one of the best shops in that bay area like that specially on something that is a practice of all businesses that sell parts there is always a restocking fee on high dollar items because they cant trust that people return things in the condition they received it. but guess what gruppe-s just lower the price on that kit to $1199.00

a 25% restocking few is ugly... but fact of the matter is... it IS a rip off. however, it is common business practice, so gruppe-s is only doing what they do. they are a very reputable shop... but they cant be too lenient! hehe

d'oh! caught red-handed!

now that i've been sighted, i may as well add to this thread. LOL. Gruppe-S, as good of guys as they may be, is a business. The 25% restocking fee may seem a bit high, but they have to watch out for their interest. With that said, how about selling it for a 20% reduction from what you paid?

LoanPro,
Sorry! Our restocking fee is 25% for purchased items. We used to not have a restocking fee, but unfortunately a few people ruined it for everyone.

At any rate sorry we were not able to meet your expectations.

Regards,
Preston
