AHhahahaha - i dunno man, the whole rear end of that car is pretty busted in. Other than that, the car is pretty solid. So i'm assuming you got it home alright then? Did you guys remember to get the bumpers?

Yea, we got home just fine, and we did grab the bumpers. I consulted my brother about the damage to the rearend of that car (My bro restores hot rods from the ground up, so he knows "bad" body damage, and repair techniques).....he said that the car is in really good shape and that rear damage is "nothing big", and he says that he cant believe that I got such an awesome deal on it, in that condition! w00t! for a great deal.....oh yea, Ian...I left you Positive feedback too.
I just had one question.....was the radiator drained before the car was stored? or did the fluid just leak out of your "duct tape fix" on the radiator hose?

haha, there was no water in the radiator? Well, the car sat in a garage for almost a year and no puddles formed, so i'm assuming the water leaked out of that amazing fix i did on the side of the freeway in vallejo. Seriously, thats a weird thing. Maybe all the mice that made their home on top of the engine drank it. The engine temp never got much above 220 on the trip up to sac, and that was all i drove it. Regardless, thats weird.
Well, i'm glad the 510 went to someone who plans on actually doing something to it besides drilling a wing into the trunk and spray painting on BRE stripes on it, or pushing it into a field and telling your girlfriend how much it could "smoke a camaro". Take care of the little ****er and keep us posted on the progress of your 510 collection. Thanks for the good feedback too - that whole transaction went forward without a hitch.
Btw, my dad just built a huge hangar down in santa maria, and we plan on doing a ground-up restoration on one in the near future, so we may have to caravan up to shasta sometime. ROCK!

yep, the radiator had no water in it....so that could potentially be a very bad thing if the water leaked into the cylinders, and rusted the crap out of them.....<shrug> well, I guess I'll pull the spark plugs and take a lookie to see if I see anything in the combustion chambers.
Once I take some pictures of the car I'll start up a thread in the "ongoing projects" section, so you all can watch the progress of it.....although I'll tell you right now....any major changes will have to wait until my garage gets built
, which will be getting started soon hopefully. <crosses fingers>

Just curious... if whoever bought the vehicle picked up the xtra set of gold mesh wheels that he was offering with the car? ANy details on these and if your interested in selling them.
