does Anyone know how to bypass the passenger airbag for aftermarket seats?
Factory bypass is a glorified resistor. Why pay $24 for a $o.10 piece.
Me thinks ya looking for an '07 part but all models '04 - '07 have front seat side airbags. So there wouldn't be a bypass. The Bugeyes have the side airbags in WRX only. So the RS and Wagons have the bypass.

ya don't have to disconnect the battery, although it would be safer. Just don't put the key in the ignition and ya be fine.
Good luck with the install.

hey whats up guys yal have been awsome and a big help. so, i picked up my seats on saturday and looked on the bottom. ok my driver seat has one plug connector and the passenger side has none. So should I take the bladder out of both of the tr seats and put them in my new sti seats? my seats have 4 plug in connectors so im thinking if I plug in the ones for my front air bags connect the ones for my seatbelt and use resistors for the side airbags i shoud be fine right? or is there something else i need to do? it kinda looks like a lot of work i unplugged my connectors then plugged em back cuz i didnt have time to do the swap and now my airbag light is on. Ugh!!!

you wont need any resistors because the sti seats have side airbags. just swap drivers side rail and pass side bladder and your good to go

Sanjo, there isnt 2 bladder systems on the 06/07s, theres only one in the passenger seat. The drivers side has a position sensor(which you need to swap over and put a piece of metal in between it otherwise if you get in a collision and your airbag deploys it will deploy at full strength and if youre close to the wheel could really ***n hurt), side airbags, and seatbelt sensor(i think those are the three, there may be another that Im forgetting). Passenger has the bladder and side airbags.

ok well this is what i noticed there are 4 plugs on the bottom of my driver seat, and my sti seats i was told aer jdm so i dont have side airbags in the seats.
well do they have 4 plugs like the TR seats do? If so they probably do have the side airbags, if not then you need to find a thread on nasioc pointing out which sensor plug is for the side airbags and get the resistors in those, and do that position sensor swap I mentioned above so you dont get blasted in the face by an airbag at full strength :P
